A Whole Hand!

Jackson Chase turned 5 years old this week.  That's a whole hand people!  I feel like we have reached a milestone and it is bittersweet.  Bitter because this is my last year at home with the little man before I release him into the world of real school.  Sweet because he is getting closer to the age he thinks he is... 18!  He actually informed me this week that "5-year olds don't throw fits".  Well ~ WE ARE IN FOR A GREAT YEAR if there is any truth to that!

Prized gift: a bigger bike.  Side note:  Safety Sam insists on wearing the helmet (another gift).  Mommy and Daddy are trying to support him, but secretly giggling about the fact that he thinks his tricks are THAT dangerous!  The fashion speaks for itself.

Opening gifts at G & Big Pop's.  See?  He is holding up more than 5 fingers... I told you he doesn't believe it.

Birthday boy's pick:  Incredible Pizza of course.  He was finally tall enough to ride on the bumper cars.

In no way related to Jackson's b-day... my mom gave Ella this Strawberry Shortcake doll that she calls "Gewly" (Girly).  She stripped her in the first 5 minutes and kept pointing to her back shoulder, saying "tattoo".  What do ya know... Girly has a pink heart tattoo just like Daddy!  (OK, Daddy's tattoo is NOT a pink heart.)

Happy birthday Jack!  You are a force that we are so happy to be trusted with.  Don't grow too fast little buddy!
